SURVEY OF ST MARY'S RICKINGHALL INFERIOR CHURCHYARD

In 2008/9 we surveyed the churchyard to assist in its future management and to provide both an easily accessible source of genealogical information and also an historical record of the gravestones and monuments. The results of more than 600 hours of work by seven local volunteers are available for family historians in the form of plans, photographs and detailed records of memorial inscriptions. People who died AFTER 2009 were not included in the survey and are not listed here.

TRANSCRIPTION OF PARISH REGISTERS

In 2012 we transcribed the parish registers held at Rickinghall. These registers include baptisms, marriages and burials held at both Rickinghall Inferior and Rickinghall Superior churches. The Rickinghall Superior church was made redundant in 1972.

Indexes to the registers and the Memorial Inscriptions are now available on this web site. The detailed records are available from the site administrator by e-mail. Again people who died AFTER 2012 are not listed here.
